A salon spa, Erik of Norway faced a particular challenge when deciding to expand its existing hair treatment facility and add a full-service spa wing. They needed to keep the existing space in operation while combining the old and new spaces to create one seamless environment.
In addition, because it is an Aveda spa and therefore environmentally conscious, the client required that natural materials be used. To accomodate this specification, Creative utilized a variety of organic solutions, including countertops created of compressed sunflower seed and lots of bamboo features on walls and display cases.
The project involved both design and construction and spanned nine months from inception to completion. Creative not only ensured the smooth continuum of the salon's workflow during the entire process, it also garnered the ASID WI Chapter Design Award - Silver Level in the Retail and Showroom Division. |
